g5th and 6th class really enjoyed using the Blue bots during EU Code Week. We had great fun having bluebot races! Nuala Madigan visited our school as part of the 'Heritage in schools scheme' today and taught 5th and 6th all about the different types of peatland we have in the Midlands. 5th and 6th Class had Brendan for Sports hall Athletics in the Community Hall today, a wonderful experience for all. Some very impressive feats of athleticism from 5th and 6th Class! Maria Walsh MEP, Senator Micháel Carrigy and Deputy Joe Flaherty visited our school as part of our Blue Star Award which recognises the importance of the European Union in the lives of children in primary school. They told us all about the important work that is carried out in the European Union.Well done to all the children who performed so well reciting their Christmas poems and telling their wonderful Christmas jokes! 5th and 6th class utilised the endless possibilities that Green Screen offers by placing themselves in different locations. We even had one pupil meeting Ryan Tubridy! As part of our Christmas art, the children created some lovely snowmen using oil pastels! They also designed some wonderful Christmas Snow Globes using chalk pastels! Well done everyone on all your lovely creations!! Fantastic work blending warm and cool colours together! |
