As part of Science Week 2021 we made some model lungs! The children had great fun today finding out their lung capacity using a homemade spirometer. Each pod worked together as a team to carry out the experiment. Well done everyone! Well done to all the children who drafted, edited, typed up and presented their reports on themselves and their families 'as Gaeilge'! Children had great fun creating these wonderful and very cool self-portraits! Well done to our 6th Class pupils on their Graduation. We would like to wish them every success as they move on into secondary school. One of the advantages of having the River Shannon on our doorstep is access to watersports. 5th and 6th Class took full advantage of this on Thursday morning when they enjoyed the opportunity to go kayaking! A great time was had by all and many thanks to Longford Sports Partnership for organising it for us! Well done to the children of 3rd - 6th Class who participated in the first annual Lanesborough Primary School Soccer Blitz at LCC today! A fantastic time was had by all. We were treated to some excellent football and evenly contested matches! There were thrills and spills aplenty with a mixture of tough tackling, great saves and superbly taken goals! Congratulations to the Green Team who came out on top in a wonderful final against the Red Team! Many thanks to Lanesborough Community College for providing the facilities for us. The children of 5th and 6th class had great fun with their Rugby World Cup 2019 themed Assembly. First they played 'Ireland's Call' on the tin whistle. This was followed by a their own ferocious interpretation of 'The Haka' as Gaeilge! |
