Understanding Standardised Test or STen Scores
Each year at the end of May or early June we carry out standardised testing. Your child's test score will be included on their annual report card. The scores may be noted as either Standard scores or STen scores. For this reason two information sheets for parents are available to explain the meaning of standardised test scores. One information sheet explains Standard scores while the other explains STen scores. The information sheets are available in a range of languages on the NCCA website.

Supporting your child in Lanesborough Primary School
As a parent you play a key role in your child's education. This is a role that the Board of Management and staff of Lanesborough Primary school truly value and aim to encourage from your very first visit to our school when you seek to enroll your son or daughter. The partnership we develop between home and school and involvement of our parent body in school life is second to none. The NCCA has developed a number of resources to help you to support your child's learning in primary school. Many of these are available in various languages.
