School Assembly for November takes place on Friday December 7th at 1pm in the Co-op Hall. 3rd & 4th class will be performing. All parents and family members are invited to attend.

A very sincere thanks to all of you for contributing to this very special cause. There has been a great response this year.

We recently had the great pleasure of welcoming Malcolm O'Hagan to our school following his generous donation through the Irish American Partnership. The school applied to the partnership for funds to begin our guided reading library and Dr. O'Hagan very kindly met the grant application in full. Malcolm is a grandson of Master Edward Rhatigan, who was principal of Lanesborough Primary School from 1908 - 1947. Master Rhatigan ran the school together with his wife, Malcolm's grandmother. Malcolm was also very generous with his time and took great interest in listening to some children read. Afterwards, he chatted freely with us about his memories of summer days spent in Lanesborough with his grandparents. Ms Murphy presented Malcolm with a framed photograph of Lanesborough by local photographer Brigid Mullooly as a token of our appreciation.

Parent Teacher Meetings take place on Thursday November 15th and Thursday November 22nd. School will close on both days at 2.45pm to facilitate the meetings.
