Car Park Safety & your child

Lanesborough Primary School
As the Board of Management is responsible for the safety of all school users, it is of the utmost importance that parents/guardians/those who pick-up; drop-off, make themselves aware of the following arrangements.
The Board of Management wishes to state that :
  • Laneway 1 (lane nearest the school) No overtaking is allowed
  • Laneway 2(middle lane) No overtaking is allowed
  • Laneway 3 :will allow passing of cars
  • If there is a backlog of cars into the drop-off zone, line up along the left beside the path at school front and filter through as space becomes available
  • Children who walk/cycle to school may use the front gate.
  • If a parent has a reason to delay in school for a meeting, please park in the spaces allotted for teachers.
  • Parents should inform others that pick-up/drop-off of these new procedures(grand- parents/ other family members/minders etc)

No pick-up/drop-off at the front gate of the school is permitted.

In order to facilitate these procedures, we expect parents and others to be reasonable and patient.
There is an onus on all those who use the ‘drop-off/pick-up’ zone to co-operate with these procedures which are effective immediately.
These procedures are under constant review and the Board of Management will take measures to ensure that they are followed.
